Finally, her 10th birthday, Echo arrives at Pallat Town via a ferry, and visits the World Famous Oak Laboratory, in the hopes of getting a Pokémon to start her journey.

Oak was busy looking round at the young pokemon. "Hmm...so he started over and There's a new trainer. This should be interesting they both took a kanto starter too."

Echo entered the lab. "E-excuse me, is P-professor Oak here?

He turned and looked at her. "That would be me. Are you here to become a pokemon trainer?"

"Y-yes, I heard this is where I come to register and get a starter Pokemon. My name is Echo Noelle." *Echo bowed to greet the professor.*

He looked at her and nodded. "Alright well over here are where you can get your starting pokemon."

*Echo walked over and looked at all of the pokemon.* "Wow they're all so cute. But I think I shall choose Squirtle, I saw one on the SS Anne once, and it was really cool and cute."

"Alright." he grabbed a pokeball and handed it to her. "Here's your pokemon along with 5 pokeballs. Over here we'll get you a trainer card." After a minute he had her picture taken and put on a card. "Here you are." He handed it to her on top of a small red object. "Along with it is a pokedex."

He nodded. "good luck and treat your pokemon with care and compassion." He then turned. "Now if you excuse me I have preperations to make for other trainers."

"Thank you professor Oak." *And so Echo begins her pokemon journey, and ventures towards Route 1.*
